Bhutan has over 72% of the area under forest cover with 10 protected areas spread all over the country for wild life conservation with corridors. The country has 51.32% area under protected network – one of the highest percentage of protected area of any country in the world. Snow leopard is found in high altitude locations. Royal Bengal Tigers are found at the altitude ranging from 3000 to 4000 meters besides Takin, Red Panda,Langur, Himalayan Black Bear, Sambar, Wild Pig, Barking Deer, Blue Sheep, Musk Deer. In the tropical forests of Southern Bhutan Clouded Leopard, one horned Rhino, Elephant, Golden Langur, Water Buffalo and swamp Deer are found. This flourishing situation of wild life is the result deep historical reverence for our natural environment into deliberate policies that place conservation at the centre of our development strategy. The Government has also introduced annual park festivals in different parks with conservation themes for creating awareness and generating support for conservation.

Day 01 Arrive Paro airport, drive to Kichu Resort. Visit town. Dinner and Briefing by guide. Day 02 Morning sightseeing of the Ta dzong (National Museum) and the rinpung dzong (administrative centre). Scenic drive to picnic spot by the river.Hot lunch. Leisure hour with trout fishing program. Enjoy the thrill of catching the blue trouts. Returns to the hotel. Day 03 Fascinating 1.5 hr. Drive to Chelela pass (Alt 12000 ft.). Scenic trek along the ridge of mountain. Camp overnight. Luxurius service during the one day trek. Day 04 Drive to Thimpu, capital. (App. 90 kms/2 hrs. Drive). Hotel. Lunch. Visit in Thimpu Valley, the Memorial Chorten, painting school and National library. If time permits, visit the tashichho dzong the central administrative secretariat. Overnight in Thimpu. Day 05 Drive to Punakha. (77 kms from Thimphu) Over the Dochula pass (3050 mts.). Guests house. Sightseeing in the the punakha valley. If time permits, visit the Chimme Lhakhang (Pilgrimage point fr barren couples). Day 06 Visit Wangdhipodrang town. Picnic Lunch. Overnight in Punakha. Day 07 Return drive to Paro. Lesiure afternoon. Day 08 Departure by flight.
